I live in Canberra, ACT Australia, and I am trying to find a cake shop that will make cakes in the form of excavators to feed about 30 ppl.

I'm not entirely sure if The Cheesecake Shop will do them, but is there anywhere else that might?

Getting a picture of an excavator in edible icing and placing on a square cake is an absolute LAST resort.

Not sure that Cheesecake shop do anything 3D but will do the edible icing option!

Try ~ ' Cake Lovers'- 17/70 Hurtle Ave, Bonython ACT (02) 6293 9309

~ Pastries on Perry (used to be Le petit Foureau) Chapman (www.lpfchapman.com.au)

~ Cornucopia Bakery - 40 Mort St, Braddon

~ Silo Bakery - 36 Giles St, Kingston (02)6260 6060

OR.... for something simple and without the $$ ... why not create a 'construction zone'?...

Use a large tray (cover with brown paper) - In one corner put a "dirt mound" aka cake covered with chocolate icing ... cover icing with Violet crumble, crushed Malteses and 'candy rocks' ...spread the chocolate icing over your tray to look like dirt tracks (you could use some coconut coloured green to look like grass in some of your construction area).... then place a toy excavator of choice in position! ... Fill the trucks dumper with "rocks" ~ Yum and super easy!

Hope the party goes well :)
